Scout Training
June 27/28/29, 2008
Here are a few shots from our Scout Training Weekend in June 2008.
Please be patient while the pictures load onto your screen.
We started with Scout Movement and Awareness Techniques.
The 4-Count Staff Drill grew into three people.
An upright Stalk is a very slow and rewarding way to move through nature.
The slow but steady Scout Crawl.
The Blindfolded Snake Walk.
This Blindfolded Stalking Game was played to test their new skills.
To win, one had to pickup the keys and
make a quiet retreat without getting wet.
Camo - The Before Picture.
The After picture.
First time doing Camo. I think they're having fun!
Here's Team One!
And... Team Two!
These teams were put into challenging situations so they could
practice the skills they learned and push the envelope of their awareness.
On Sunday we worked on a few traps like this Apache Trigger.
Note the black trip line on the left, the greenery hiding the Trigger,
the dirtied up string leading up to the counterweight and the
dirt covered ends on the Trigger to make it less obvious. Our weekend was very enjoyable for all.
Now to prepare for the August Scout Challenge!
