Books, Movies
and
Craft Projects Gathering
March 18/19/20, 2005
The first wave of guests arrived early Friday evening and decided to start off with a movie while waiting for others to arrive. With a couple of bowls of popcorn, the gang settled in and watched "Two Brothers".The next wave of guests arrived just as the movie was ending. So we all got together and spent a few hours chatting and getting caught up with each other.
We decided to talk about books Saturday morning so everyone could have the rest of the weekend to peruse the different books.

We gathered around a couple of tables and everyone took
a few
minutes
to describe their favourite
Tracker related Books.

After our Book Review session, we went out
for
some fresh air and did a little Tracking.

These Racoon tracks were in pretty good shape.
You can see where the Racoon broke through the crust.

We came across an Opposum kill.
All that was left was the spine and a pile of fur.

Next we talked about Movies and decided on which ones we wanted to see.
Here is a partial pile of Books and DVD/Videos for everyone to look through .

Greg appears to be having a "bad hair day".

Kathy & Kim worked on some rabbit skins. They were
removing the last of the fat and meat from the skins.

The Skins were placed on a round log. It was slow
going as care had to be taken not to damage the skin.

On Sunday, it snowed all day.
Who couldn't resist a snowball fight.

Dodged that one!

Look out Greg!

Felicia hand delivers a snowball onto Greg's head
while Steven bounces a snowball off Felicia's head.

Steven takes a direct hit .

After an hour of snow fun everyone came
inside
with their rosy cheeks to warm up by the wood stove.
The gathering was very relaxing and layed back. It was really different to have a Tracker Event where we just hung out together and didn't have to keep checking the clock to see if we were still on schedule. We really enjoyed sharing our Tracker related Books and Movies and learned a lot from each other.
