Self Defense Training
and Mask Making
Workshop / Gathering
November 12/13/14, 2004
After our strenuous Self Defense activities, it was really nice to mellow out with a meditation that lead us into making our Masks.
Plaster Cast Strips were applied and allowed to dry.
Then the mask was carefully peeled off.
The Group then customized and painted their masks.
Imperfections and additions were taken care of before painting.
Ears and extra features were added to some of the masks .
Everyone worked in harmony sharing resources.
Time to start painting!
Time to let the creative juices flow.
Before we left on Sunday, we gathered together for this photo.
Some of the masks were not totally completed. They can be worked on at home and brought back for the Solstice in December.
This weekend gathering was really cool because it worked us both mentally and physically. Special thanks to Marcia and Cezary for organizing the event and making it so much fun!
The other activity we did on this weekend gathering was Self Defense.
