Getting dirty is FUN!
Hi dear friends!
Took some time today to write out a few notes about this past weekend. Thought they might be of some use for the DTT website.

- confidence to step forward with ideas
- confidence and trust to act on the ideas of othersCommunications - the ability to relay needed information quickly, efficiently and accurately
- to be prepared for and aware of the communication styles
(including hand signals and body language) of every team memberEndurance - the need to be physically fit
- to be prepared to compact one's physical size into the smallest of
spaces and for extended periods of time # ;o)>
- to push the limit of one's personal potential and physical
performance in order to meet and then exceed one's tolerance levelAwareness - to perform any required team role but to consciously be fully attuned to
one's surroundings
- to become more sensitive to the environment
- to become more sensitive to the habits of individuals in general
- to fully utilize one's own observational abilities through wide-angle
vision (WAV) and spider senses
- to be totally attuned to one's team members - their actions,
communications and needsNote: For the " T " I almost used Teamwork - however, all of the above skills combined created the overall teamwork that helped make our group so cohesive!
A powerful weekend. Well presented. Well thought out. Excellent instruction. Lots of hands-on opportunities to apply principles and techniques. Needless to say the Browne's home was an ideal location for this weekend experience. Thank you to Kathy and David for opening their home and their hearts to us. Thanks, too, go out to our weekend chefs! Great meals Mike and Kathy! Yes, we all provided the foods, but what we brought was beautifully and lovingly put together for us all to enjoy. And not having to do any kitchen duty (except the washing of our own dishes) left us all free for more learning time.
A special thanks to David Browne for his wisdom and for sharing his knowledge and his love of the art of the Scout.
